About the Genocide

So many people just died from genocide and most countries still have this problem. Nobody can control and change people's own theory. I think the problem always made from really, really small things and people just make big things later. When people get shocks from their parents, friends, teachers or some other people, maybe most people get bad minds, anger and rage, or some people could decide to revenge them. They cannot control their emotions and feelings. Hitler and other evil chiefs probably had impulse occurrences before they decided to plan genocide. And they also had very strongly and extremely thoughts and opinions then others. We can see that they make plans and they really did massacre acts to people for the revenge. So the solutions are people try to have positive minds and try to understand each other when they get problems or troubles. Then people will not hurt other people’s minds and feelings. And we can decrease these terrible acts as genocide…I think…

My friend, Jin~

Recently, I got a friend who’s from Korea. She is my father's friend's daughter and three years younger than me. She came in U.S.A. two weeks ago and this is first time she visits this country. When she arrived in U.S.A, I picked up her at J.F.K airport. She wondered when she was walking in the airport and then she was just asking me one thing, “how come the airport is this big?” She thinks everything is big in America. And she also said she never see the cup size of “Venti” in Starbucks in Korea. Kk…..
She’s very talkative and outgoing person so she always has a lot of stories and topics. She usually lived in Korea but she lived in Japan last one year for learning Japanese. So she’s speaking Japanese very well and she already made Japanese friends here. Now, she’s learning English and she wants to meet many Americans so she can talk in English more. I’m having great times with her now. We usually go to Barnes & noble and we study together. I think she is very interesting about U.S.A. and she wants to know more about this country. Last weekend, we went to New York City and tour some popular places. At that time, I could feel she really likes NYC and she didn’t want to go back to home, New Jersey. Kk… And she also said she likes city place and she wants to live there. So we will search and go to look her house in NYC this weekend. She’s going to go back to Korea after she finished learning English. I hope that she go back to her country with success.

"Anger and Mercy"

I read this book day by day and it made me feel fury little by little. In the beginning, I couldn’t understand that how come human did these incredible acts to just alike human. And I could think my grandmother's incredible real stories when our country, Korea, was under the Japanese government. At that time, my grandmother was a young girl and she said she still cannot forget those scary days. Japanese took a lot of women for sell to trader for sexual abuse. She was a one of them and she tried to get out from Japanese officer before they send over them. So she needed to find out the exit and she finally fined it, which was a toilet. At the bathroom break, she used a hole of the toilet for hide her body temporally until they leave. My sisters and I could see her tears when she told us this story. She said she was very scary and afraid of death. And she didn’t believe the God at that time, but she changed her mind, she just gives thanks to God now. I felt not good to Germany after I read this book, however, I changed my feeling to calm and recognized that this is an old period story and people just have this memory. And Jews also did terrible acts to Palestine in other book. I think most countries have their own tragic memories. So I hope that people have more love and mercy for no more tragic stories in the present day. ^^

A Second Chance of My Life **

My name is Nayoung Kim. I live in Palisades Park, New Jersey. A lot of Koreans live in my town and also many Korean shops there. It is really comfortable to buy my own country's stuffs. ^^
I live with my mom and my twin sisters. My dad went back to Korea for his business last year. My dad and I, we have similar personality. He use to be a business owner and I like to be a business manager.
I got a full-time job at Doctor's office past 3years. I just withdrew from this college because my focus was working experiences for myself and I thought that was the fast way to achieve my goal at that period. However, I became know that the knowledge is very important for my job and my future life. So I came back to this college this semester. I had really good experiences when I was a full-time worker, but I want to learn more about my major and my field so I can show my ability to people. I wish I can learn more about Enlish, which is my second language, and also I wish to be a good reader from this class. I want to have a good time in this reading class at MSU and I will do my work best.!!^^
